Upcoming changes in Appendix 1 – Fees

Svenska kraftnät takes the Peak load reserve fee in use from 16.11.2023

The Peak load fee in Sweden will be taken into use as from 16th November 2023 and will be charged on working days between 06.00-22.00 CET until 15th of March. The Peak load fee will be 0,290 EUR/MWh.

Svenska kraftnät increases the BRP volume fee from 1.1.2024

As of 1st January 2024, the volume fee for balance responsible parties in Sweden will rise to 1,6 EUR/MWh (the current fee is 1,2 EUR/MWh).

Statnett increases the BRP volume fee from 1.1.2024

The volume fee for generation and consumption by balance responsible parties in Norway will change as of January 1st January 2024, to 0,21 EUR/MWh (the current fee is 0,13 EUR/MWh). Other fees will remain unchanged.

The increase is necessary due to increased balancing costs.

Appendix 1 of the Imbalance Settlement agreement has therefore been updated accordingly. Please contact the respective TSO if you have any questions or concerns regarding the fees.
