VAT Rate Change Impact on Invoicing in Finland

We would like to inform you about the effects of the VAT rate change in Finland on invoicing. As of 1 September 2024, the standard VAT rate increased from 24% to 25.5%.

This new VAT rate will apply to invoices from week 35 onward. Invoices for Finnish market participants will be divided into two parts: one for the period of August 26-31, 2024, and another starting from 1 September 2024. These invoices will reflect two different VAT rates and will be treated as separate transactions. No action is required from market participants.
